Where ideas meet light
Occasion
An astronomy and optics symposium welcomes researchers, graduate students and invited speakers. Practical pieces support check-in, note-taking and conversation, with a coordinated collection available for speakers and guests receiving a complete set.
Idea
Parallel lines, expanding color bands and off-center arcs suggest beams, spectra and lenses. Midnight blue and warm white keep the collection calm, while amber and teal guide a different expression on each surface.

Conference lanyard
A polyester lanyard keeps a badge close during check-in and conversations. Long fine lines shift into short color blocks along the strap, while the badge area reserves clear space for names and conference details.

Lens-inspired pin
A small metal pin offers an easy conversation starter between sessions. Offset arcs, fine radial lines and a teal inset translate the lens theme into a wearable keepsake, with shallow relief and restrained color.

Session tote
A warm-white canvas tote carries notebooks and loose session handouts. Three differently weighted color bands cross its lower portion, making the shared theme recognizable at a distance while leaving most of the bag open.

Speaker pen
A midnight-blue aluminum pen accompanies session notes and a closing thank-you to speakers. A narrow amber ring and quiet vertical line recall a beam of light, with space opposite the clip for personalization.
The finishing touch
Light, arranged
A shallow lift-off paperboard box presents the five pieces in three columns. Folded warm-white inserts give the notebook, pen, pin, tote and lanyard their own positions, separating hardware from fabric. Colored rays meet an off-center arc on the navy lid, leaving room for event details.
